Dog Control officers help the people and dogs in our community in a variety of ways, including rescuing those in distress, reuniting lost pets and their owners, and responding to nuisance complaints. Dog control officers are important decision-makers when laws and policies are developed that impact communities, programs, and policymakers often look to them for guidance on best practices. However, it’s important to remember that dog control officers also work for our Town to enforce their laws. In other words, legislators set the parameters in which dog control officers work. So, taking the time to learn how we assist with dog control should include a conversation with us or visiting shelters, and introducing yourself to our staff will help us get to know you and your pets.
We're fully staffed with professionals that care about residents, businesses, and visitors. We invite you to come to visit us in person at the Town Hall.
Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:30 am until 4:30 pm.
