Town of Newfane, NY Courts

The Town of Newfane Justice Court is the court closest to the people. Our local court is a separate and independent branch of government.

We are responsible for those cases and parties that come before us, and to ensure that the government does prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt before we take away a defendant’s liberty.

We maintain the integrity of the Court, are always mindful of our activities concerning the law, the legal system, and the administration of justice, and do not cause doubt on the capacity to decide impartially any case that may come before the court. Everyone who appears in Newfane Court, including the defendant, complainant, witness, law enforcement, and attorney, is treated with respect, in a lawful manner, and is assured that their legal rights are observed.

Our mission is to avoid any impropriety and the appearance of impropriety in all court activities. It is to uphold the ethical standards of the Unified Court system while upholding the local, state, and federal laws and Constitution, with justice for all.
